EVAN McLEOD

Program Officer

Evan McLeod serves as the Program Officer at the Robert Hett Chapman III Center for Philanthropy on the campus of The Spartanburg County Foundation.  She leads the Foundation’s grants management and conducts research to inform the Foundation’s program of work.  Evan also supports the Foundation’s Community Leadership activities and establishes and maintains effective relationships with area nonprofit organizations.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2021, Evan served 8 years in various roles with nonprofit agencies.  She began as an AmeriCorps Member, served as a Volunteer Coordinator, and most recently was the Development Director at Greer Relief.

Evan is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She received her Master of Public Administration from Clemson University. She is also a graduate of Leadership Greer and has earned two certificates in nonprofit management and leadership through Duke University.

Evan is originally from Camden, SC but resides in Spartanburg County.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, Dean, and their dog Peyton.  Evan enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
