The Spartanburg County Foundation recently awarded $75,000 in COVID-19 grant funding to three nonprofit organizations working innovatively to address the immediate needs of Spartanburg County residents. This grant opportunity is dedicated to Spartanburg County nonprofits needing additional capacity to maintain operations throughout the pandemic. The Foundation’s focus on flexible grants allows nonprofits who are serving communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 to determine the best use of funds.
- The Children’s Museum of the Upstate – Spartanburg
The Children’s Museum of the Upstate Spartanburg is the recipient of a $25,000 grant to provide two months of general operating support.
- Safe Homes Rape Crisis Coalition
Safe Homes Rape Crisis Coalition is the recipient of a $30,000 grant to provide rental and utility assistance to domestic abuse survivors transitioning into permanent housing.
- The South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind
The South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind is the recipient of a $20,000 grant to purchase disinfectant machines and cleaning supplies.

Larrabee Fund, The Martha C. Chapman Trustee Initiated Fund, Zimmerli Foundation, Inc. Trustee Initiated Fund, and The Spartanburg County Foundation Community Fund.
